BIO
Graduated from Georgia Tech at the age of 24, Yutong accepted an Associate Professor position at Nanjing Tech University at 25, followed by a promotion to Professor at 30. Without postdoctoral experience and starting with zero start-up funding, Yutong led a group of master’s students focused on unconventional energy storage systems. He became one of the youngest (possibly The Youngest) recipients of the NSFC General Program grant after only two years of independent research at 27, based on his development of a low-cost, high-performance biphasic membraneless battery. His team is now on a journey toward the systematic development of eco-friendly materials and processes, aiming not only for large-scale energy storage, but broader environmental solutions.
